Winston Cup
Racing Series
The Winston Cup was NASCAR's premiere series from 1972 to 2003.
The name Winston Cup replaced Grand National in 1972 to reflect Winston's sponsorship of the series.
Winston Cup was then changed to Nextel Cup for the 2004 season when sponsorship of the series changed from Winston to Nextel.
