Nextel Cup
Racing Series
The Nextel Cup is NASCAR's premiere series since 2004.
The name Nextel Cup replaced Winston Cup in 2004 to reflect Nextel replacing Winston as sponsor of the series. On July 7, 2007, NASCAR announced that the series will change its name to the Sprint Cup Series for the 2008 season.
