Nextel Cup
Racing Series

The name Nextel Cup replaced Winston Cup in 2004 to reflect Nextel replacing Winston as sponsor of the series.  The Nextel Cup was NASCAR's premiere series from 2004 to 2007, after which a change in Nextel's name to Sprint changed the series name to Sprint Cup.
