Vehicle names used by Pontiac currently and throughout history include: 1000, 2+2, 6000, Astre, Aztek, Banshee, Bonneville, Catalina, Chieftain, Fiero, Firebird, G3, G5, G6, G8, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Grand Safari, Grand Ville, Grande Parisienne, GTO, Hematon, J2000, Le Mans, Master Six, Montana, Montana SV6, Parisienne, Rev, Safari, Series 6-28, Series 6-29, Series 603, Solstice, Star Chief, Sunbird, Sunfire, Sunrunner, SV6, T-37, Tempest, Torrent, Trans Am, Trans Sport, Ventura, and Vibe.

Dealerships included: Carson Pontiac (Kirkwood, Missouri), Miller Pontiac (Omaha, Nebraska), Monk King Pontiac (Denton, Texas), Overton Cadillac Pontiac (McHenry, Illinois), Reichert Chevrolet Buick Pontiac (Woodstock, Illinois), Right-Way Pontiac (DeKalb, Illinois).

Pontiac cars are individually nicknamed "Poncho" (for example, "check out that red sixty-three Poncho!"), but the Pontiac company is almost never referred to by the word. One of Pontiac's most famous racers, Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick, campaigned a car called Mr. B's Passionate Poncho.
