Indy Racing League and NASCAR driver.  Danica Patrick began racing in the IRL in 2005 and switched to NASCAR full time in 2012.

In 2005 she was the highest qualifying woman ever for the Indianapolis 500 and the first woman to ever lead a lap in the race.  In 2008 she became the first woman to win an IRL event at the Indy Japan 300 at Twin Ring Motegi on April 20, 2008.
