A Japanese manufacturer of cars, SUVs and pickup trucks.

Vehicle names used by Honda currently and throughout history include:  Accord, Beat, CBR600RR, City, Civic, CL90, CR-V, CR-X, CT-90, del Sol, Domani, FCX, Fit, Insight, Jazz, Life, NSX, Odyssey, Passport, Prelude, Pilot, Ridgeline, S90, S2000, Shadow, Silver Wing, and Today.

Awards and acknowledgements include:

  • 2006 AutoPacific Brand Satisfaction Award for Top Mainstream Brand

    Honda began racing in Formula 1 starting in 1964 with driver Ronnie Bucknum.  The first Grand Prix win in a Honda would come at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix with Richie Ginther driving.  Honda withdrew from Formula 1 later that decade.

    Honda became the sole engine supplier to the Indy Racing League starting in 2006 after previously competing in the series.

    Honda also has a new Formula 1 program.  It was originally a joint venture with BAR, but Honda took full control of the team in late 2005.
