A manufacturer of automobile, truck, and bus parts whose roots go back to Clarence W. Spicer manufacturing U-joints in 1904, the Spicer Universal Joint Manufacturing Company would be founded in 1905. Charles Dana joined the company in 1914 and in 1964 the company name was changed to Dana Corporation.
