Daytona, FL (02-11-11) Venturini Motorsports dominated Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 qualifying at Daytona International Speedway with all five cars finishing in the top 11, including outside pole winner Kyle Fowler.

Venturini Motorsports teammates Fowler and Steve Arpin rounded out the top three spots in qualifying, with Hal Martin qualifying sixth, Mark Thompson eighth and Miguel Paludo 11th at the Daytona International Speedway.

Fowler turned a lap of 184.995 mph in the No. 15 Enterprise Software Deployment (ESD) Chevrolet to claim his series-highest qualifying effort. Arpin in the No.25 Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Trent’s Tire Toyota was edged out with a lap of 184.570 mph starting third.

“Well we are disappointed; we thought we had a shot at the pole and we qualified second and third,” Billy Venturini, team co-owner and competition director, said. “Our plan is still to win on Saturday. We have five cars in the top 11, four in the top eight. Our program seems to be strong; I think we will have a good Saturday. It is all about the trophy, if we don’t bring home the hardware on Saturday it is a disappointment.”

Martin, who was fastest during yesterday’s ARCA practice session, sped around 2.5-mile superspeedway in 48.977 seconds (183.760 mph).

Saturday’s 80-lap Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 will be televised live at 4:30 p.m. ET on SPEED with additional race coverage including live timing and scoring and radio broadcast through the ARCA Racing Network at arcaracing.com.
