Factors That Affect Gasoline Prices To Be Discussed at FTC Conference

Agency: Federal Trade Commission
Date: 1 May 2002
The Federal Trade Commission today announced a second public conference on "Factors Affecting Prices of Refined Petroleum Products," to be held May 8-9, 2002 in Room 432 at the FTC. This conference, a follow-up to an initial conference on this subject on August 2, 2001, seeks to elicit information and views on major factors that affect the price of refined petroleum products and the relative importance of each. Participants are expected to focus in greater depth on issues identified at the initial conference as being most worthy of further study.

The general public and press are invited to attend. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis with an overflow room provided. Written comments from interested parties may be submitted to the FTC. The tentative agenda is available.
