Well, with Facebook making it impossible to reach people (who want to be reached by a company's page, by the way), I've resurrected my old Twitter account.  It used to just autocopy what I posted from Facebook, but now I'm posting directly there.  It's a great way to reach people, too, as I got a response from Rutledge Wood about a comment I made.  That reminds me, if YOU ever get the urge to burn an old car manual too, send it to me instead!!!  Anyway, the Twitter name is @BillCrittenden.

I've still been making progress on the NASCAR/stock car racing results histories, but it's been dang hard to stare at those lines of numbers for that long all week.  So I found a collection of magazines to upload!  I organized and uploaded compilations of The Automobile, a magazine as far as I can tell not related to the modern-day Automobile Magazine, with about 20,000 pages in issues from 1904 to 1922 (it became Automobile Industries in 1917).

As for the racing results, I'm going to keep working on them, but it's going to be a while.  I can go through about one season in one series each day, and there are probably then about sixty seasons left to go between all the series covered.  Once it's done, however, that number of races covered will go from 770 now to about 5,000.  I've got about 25,000 starts ready to be sorted into each driver's page so far.  This is probably going to be my big project for the year, but at least once it's done it only takes a week or so to add a new season at the end of the year.

I've also got another new source in the Chicago Auto Show, with a batch of new-to-the-Library articles from this year's show posted already, with more to come.
The Crittenden Automotive Library is Automotive History Beyond the FendersSM: a large collection of information relating to not only cars, trucks, and motorcycles, but also the roads they drive on, the races they compete in, cultural works based on them, government regulation of them, and the people who design, build, and drive them.  We are dedicated to the preservation and free distribution of information relating to all types of cars and road-going vehicles for those seeking the greater understanding of these very important elements of modern society, how automobiles have affected how people live around the world, or for the general study of automotive history and anthropology.  In addition to the historical knowledge, we preserve current events for future generations.

The Crittenden Automotive Library includes over 89,000 pages in books, 342,000 pages in reports, 54,000 pages in periodicals, 13,100 news & commentary stories, 2 weeks of audio, 4 days of video, 15,000 images and dozens of newsletters as well as other documents, statistics, reports, and data.  There are over 770 races' results tables broken down into individual driver histories.
