Germany’s BMW Recalls 350,000 Cars

VOA Breaking News

Germany’s luxury automaker BMW has announced a recall of some 350,000 vehicles due to a fault with the power-braking system.

The company says that cars from the 5-series, 6-series and 7-series built between 2002 and 2008, and Rolls-Royce Phantom models from 2003 to 2010 were potentially affected.

BMW says it is a voluntary recall and that no injuries related to the braking problem had been reported.

The vehicles could develop a leak in the power-braking system that would cause a loss of power. The company says mechanical braking processes are not affected.
