Police in Pakistan say a van carrying children has plunged into a river, killing at least 11 people in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Authorities said the driver lost control of the van Tuesday, sending it into the Jhelum River in Muzaffarabad.

About 30 children were in the van at the time of the crash.

Police said they have rescued the driver and at least three children. Several children are still missing.
