SCOTT READY TO RACE IN THE GOLDEN STATE

CONCORD, N.C. (10/06/10) – Rookie Brian Scott returns to pilot the No. 09 Shore Lodge Ford Fusion for RAB Racing this weekend as the NASCAR Nationwide Series heads west to Fontana, Calif., for the CampingWorld.com 300. Scott, who made his RAB Racing debut last weekend at Kansas Speedway, earned his first top-10 of the 2010 season at Auto Club Speedway earlier this year.

Scott, the 22-year-old Idaho native, heads into the final seven race stretch with more experience and confidence as he nears the end of his rookie season. Accumulating five top-10 finishes thus far in 2010 and a solid third place qualifying effort at Auto Club Speedway in February, Scott looks forward to teaming up with RAB Racing and Crew Chief Scott Zipadelli for the 300-mile event.

“California is a really good race track for me,” Scott said. “I ran in the top-three there all day in the spring race, finishing 10th, and I think we are capable of running in the top 10 again this time. I really appreciate what RAB put together for Kansas, getting there was a victory in itself, and even though we didn’t get the performance we wanted, we know what to do to make it better.”

With 29 starts under his belt this year in NASCAR’s junior division, Scott also has the addition of an experienced Crew Chief in Zipadelli to help guide and lead the sophomore RAB team.

“Kansas was a big learning curve for Brian and me to try to learn these cars and make them faster,” Zipadelli said. “The guys and I worked 48 hours straight this week to get the Kansas car turned around for California. We made a huge improvement on the racecar, and since Brian ran in the top-5 all day in the spring race we know Brian knows how to run this race track, which is added pressure to get the car where we need it to be. I think if we can come out with a top-10 it would be fantastic day for the 09 team.”

Idaho-based family vacation destination Shore Lodge joins Scott and RAB Racing for the second week as primary sponsor on the No. 09 Ford Fusion.

The CampingWorld.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, October 9, 2010, will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and MRN beginning at 4:00p.m. EST.
