Akron Wooed by Goodyear Heights

Publication: Automotive Daily News

Topic: Goodyear

Akron, O., Aug. 26.—Annexation of Goodyear Heights, the model factory employees' community, which houses about 7,000 workers of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., is asked in a petition signed by 74 per cent. of the Heights property owners, who are urging their community as part of Akron.

Goodyear Heights is located a mile from the Goodyear factories, and is probably one of the most beautiful of the factory communities in the country. The Heights was laid out under the direction of F. A. Seiberling, formerly president of Goodyear and now president of the Seiberling Rubber Company.
