Publication: Automotive Daily News
Dateline: Cohoes, New York
Date: 27 August 1925

Cohoes, N. Y., Aug. 26.—Automobile productive activity is reflected in reports from mills in this district which are turning out large contracts for upholstery cloth and accessories. Several of these have been operating on contracts for the automobile industry for some time and the latest to enter the field is the Little Falls Fibre Company, which is producing upholstery cloth for the Ford Motor Company.

So great has been the demand of automobile makers that the Little Falls Fibre Company has purchased an additional plant in the Kings Canal district. Work of fitting up for the manufacture of upholstery cloth and other products is now under way.

Another mill supplying the automobile industry is the Beaver Mills Corporation, which produces tire fabrics. This plant has been operating day and night.

The Asbestos Spinning & Weaving Corporation has contracts for brake linings and upholstery cloth. It has operated continuously at top speed for several months.
