The New Concern Signs Largest Single Car Contract

Washington, D. C., Aug. 26.—The largest consolidation that has taken place in Washington and this section in years was announced yesterday when it became known that the Wardman Motor Car Company and Justice Motor Company, the two Overland and Willys-Knight distributors, have been merged under the name of the Wardman Justice Motors, Inc.

The two establishments, that of the Wardman Motor Company, in the heart of Washington's automobile district, 1111 Vermont Ave., and the Justice Motor Company, 1515 14th St., will both be maintined and operated as sales rooms.

Announcement is made that negotiations are under way for a large centrally located service building. Plans have already been formulated to open two branch stores at strategic points of the city.

Harry Wardman, well known in real estate and financial circles, is president of the consolidated company. Frank N. Justice, founder and president of the Justice Motor Company, and who has been connected with the sale of motor cars in Washington for the last fifteen years, is one of the two vice-presidents of the new concern.

E. H. Gilcrest, who has been general manager of the Wardman Motor Company since its organization last summer, is also a vice-president of the new company. Hubbert R. Quinter, long connected with Harry Wardman, is secretary. J. D. Hobbs of the Harry Wardman organization, is treasurer. In addition to the above, the board of directors will include C. B. Bowman, a well known attorney of this city, and A. E. Creeger, who has been connected with the Willys-Overland factory.

It is said the contract which the consolidated company has just signed with the Willys-Overland Company is the largest single distributor's contract ever signed by any Willys-Overland dealer in the world. It calls for the delivery and sale of nearly 4,000 automobiles.
