KANSAS CITY, Kansas (September 29, 2009) - - With just two races remaining on the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Justin Allgaier Motorsports (JAM) Robb Brent would like to close in on his inaugural ARCA victory and with the next stop in Kansas – Brent could pull the task off in Thursday’s Kansas Lottery 150.

Brent has literally came to life in the season’s second half of the season and much thanks to new crew chief Dave Leiner who has propelled the Shelby Township, Michigan native to 10th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings and amassing six straight top-20 finishes including a career best fourth at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Kansas Speedway marks the final intermediate track of the season for the tour and Brent has every reason to be looking forward to Kansas City. Last year, Brent qualified and finished an impressive fifth in an entry fielded by Brad Keselowski Racing.

This week, he is looking for similar success if not that coveted first win.

“I’ve only been to Kansas Speedway once but I have pretty good memories of that place, so I’m looking forward to going back this weekend,” said Brent, who has spent his first full season of ARCA competition juggling a full-time college schedule as well. “Our intermediate program has come a long way this year and I’m upbeat about the prospect about backing up my finish from last year.”

The typical “cookie-cutter” type tracks have been kind to the 22-year old young gun.

“I don’t know why I’ve always excelled at these types of tracks,” explained Brent. “I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs but I’ve just enjoyed racing at tracks like Kansas, Chicagoland and Kentucky. No doubt that running competitive gives you that confidence but good racing is also a plus.”

Brent added, “We had a great car at Chicagoland and for sure was in-store for a top-five run but fuel pick-up issues on the green-white-checkered stalled us and we ended up with a less than enthusiastic run. I know we’re capable of a similar run Thursday.”

With Kansas and Rockingham left on the ’09 tour, Brent admitted most of the team’s goals have been accomplished.

“We’ve had our moments in the spotlight but I’ve think we’ve emerged from some tough waters on top,” Brent sounded. “Our season got off on the wrong foot by missing Daytona but moving into the top-10 really set the tone for the progress and dedication of this team. To pull that off with a number of drivers who’ve run all the races behind us just makes me that more proud of the team.”

Prior to joining Justin Allgaier Motorsports, Brent participated in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving for NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski and Brad Keselowski Racing. In his 34 ARCA starts, Brent has acquired three top-five finishes and 11 top-10 efforts. Brent notched his career best qualifying effort of second at Kentucky Speedway last year. He has led the ARCA RE/MAX Series pack twice for 21 laps in 2008. His best finish in the NCWTS occurred at Nashville Superspeedway in his inaugural truck debut where he finished 21st after qualifying 26th.

This season, Brent has one top-five and six top-10 finishes in 18 starts with a best finish of fourth at New Jersey Motorsports Park in September. A third place qualifying effort at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in September is the team’s season best thus far.
