Welcome To 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Season: The first of 23 races on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series tour kicks off Friday, February 19 for the NextEra Energy Resources 250. The event marks the first of two superspeedway tracks in 2016.

Young’s Motorsports Returns: Young’s Motorsports returns to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season hopeful to compete in their third year of competition. It will mark the team’s fifth year of participation overall dating back to their series debut at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway in 2012.

2015 Year In Review: Mooresville, North Carolina-based Young’s Motorsports enjoyed monumental success in their sophomore season of NCWTS competition. In addition to finishing 13th in the championship standings, Young earned his first career top-10 finish at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, while backing that effort up at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in October.

Additionally, Young also led his first lap of series competition at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and was running at the finish of 22 of the 23 races in 2015.

Tyler At Daytona: Young’s Motorsports driver Tyler Young returns to the “World Center of Racing” aiming for his third career start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In his previous two runs, Young has managed a track best of 13th last February, while a 17th place qualifying run in 2014 is his best time trials effort to date at the central-Florida based track.

Busy Week For Young’s Motorsports: In addition to competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Young’s Motorsports also participated in this past Sunday’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season-opener at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway with driver Reid Wilson. The team successfully qualified for the event and had a respectable lead lap finish.

No Pressure: With owner points to fall back on, Young’s Motorsports and driver Tyler Young are guaranteed to make their 57th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona. The security allows the team to utilize strategy for qualifying and the race during practice Thursday afternoon.

Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway Fast Fact: Built in 1959, Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway recently just completed the “Daytona Rising” project with $400 million worth of improvement to the track, placing emphasis on improving fan experience with five expanded and redesigned fan entrances (injectors), as well as wider and more comfortable seating with more restrooms and concession stands. The track's grandstands will include 101,000 permanent seats with the ability to increase permanent seating to 125,000.

Young’s Motorsports, Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Pre-Race Quotes: Tyler Young, driver of the No. 02 Randco / Young’s Building Systems Chevrolet:

On 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Season: “I have to say we’re really proud of the effort of our Young’s Motorsports team last season. We made strides from 2014 and that was our main goal. We also were able to earn our first top-10 finish at Dover and able to do it again at Talladega. It wasn’t the perfect season, but we definitely had a lot to be proud about.”

On Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway: “Daytona is Daytona. I’m really looking forward to Friday night’s race. It’s a huge race with a lot of pride and opportunity on the line. I’m really satisfied with our restrictor plate program at Young’s Motorsports. The guys have built a sound No. 02 Randco / Young’s Building Systems Chevrolet and I can’t wait to get back on the track.”

On Young’s Motorsports NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Program: “It’s important for our platform to grow. During the off season we were able to put something together with Reid Wilson and we debuted at New Smyrna. It was an extremely competitive race, but for Reid’s first time in a K&N car, we accomplished the goals we set forth. We’re looking forward to what’s ahead for our No. 66 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet team.”

On 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Season: “We’re staying focused on the bigger picture. We know we need to finish as many races as we can and keep improving. The guys have worked hard during the offseason to make sure we’re bringing the best trucks to the track that we’re capable of. Now, we just have to see how everything unfolds. In the end, we’re hoping for a good solid season overall with some strong finishes.”
