Vauxhall have today released teaser shots of their new convertible. Vauxhall claim the Cascada is their first mid-sized convertible since the 1930s.

At 4.7m long the Cascada is 70mm longer than Audi's A5 convertible. It can be opened or closed at up to 30mph.

Further information is scant. The car won't be at the Paris Motor Show but Vauxhall promise more details soon.

From the photos the Cascade looks interesting. The fly in the ointment will be if the car is only offered in front wheel drive - which is the norm for Vauxhall.
