The W113 was a sports car produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1963 until 1973 and replaced the iconic W198. Nearly 49,000 were made and all came with inline 6-cylinder engines in 2.3, 2.5 or 2.8 litres.

The nickname 'Pagoda' comes from the slightly concave roof on the hardtop version.

This lovely 1970 example has come up for sale on eBay as a classified ad, priced at £31,000. It's a 2.8 litre and is in pretty good condition, having spent most of it's life in California.

Interestingly it is a 3 seater. Take a look at the bottom photo and you'll see the rear seat is positioned sideways - even more whacky than the McLaren F1's seating layout.

The car has the ubiquitous 4-speed automatic and has done 102,000 miles and comes with both a hard and soft top.

The link to the original advert is here. Well worth considering if you're in the market for a pretty, rare, classic Merc.
