Royal Mail has just issued a series of stamps called Auto Legends. The stamps feature some classic British cars including the Aston Martin DB5, Jaguar E-Type, MGB, Morgan Plus 8 and Lotus Esprit. As well as iconic British sports cars the collection also includes 'workhorses' such as the Morris Minor van, Austin FX4 black cab, Ford Anglia 105E and the Land Rover Defender 110. You can take a look at the collection here, where Royal Mail has the stamps for sale, models of some of the cars and presentation packs. Stamps don't exactly do it for us but with Top Gear's Best of British, and Jaguar's current #YourTurnBritain competition, on top of these stamps, Speedmonkey is feeling all patriotic. Royal Mail are also running a competition to spend a weekend with one of the cars you see on the stamps below. It's on Facebook and the link is here. Take a look under the images for a little something special the Royal Mail served up for us, to promote the stamps. In order to promote its Auto Legends stamps the Royal Mail organised for a special set to be delivered to Speedmonkey HQ. On Wednesday this Carmen Red 4.2 litre E-type rolled into our drive to deliver the presentation pack, and an engraved, metal tool box. Thanks chaps!
