Practice Time: 31.729 seconds at 170.191 MPH.

Practice Position: 26th

Fastest Lap: 29th

“This track is a lot of fun and obviously something I’ve never had to deal with before. We started out the session just working to get me comfortable with the track. I was able to get up to speed rather quickly, then we shifted our focus to our No. 25 Zaxby’s Chevrolet Camaro.

“I’m having to work on my arch and entry off the corner, which may be the reason that my car is a little tight on throttle in the corners, but I’m going to work on it and we’ll be better for the second practice. I plan to spend some time on top of my hauler and watch the ARCA cars practice and see if I can pick up anything from some of the veterans there.

“Mike (Ford, crew chief) and the Athenian Motorsports guys have a few ideas for the final practice session, so I’m eager to get back in our No. 25 Zaxby’s Chevrolet Camaro and get into conditions that will be closer to the race tomorrow night.”

The Owens Corning AttiCat 300 (150 laps / 300 miles) is the 14 of 34 events on the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule. The second and final practice session of the weekend has been etched in closer to race conditions later in the day from 6:00 p.m. – 6:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Saturday, June 20 scheduled to lift off at 4:15 p.m. The 40-car starting field will take the green flag shortly after 8:30 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90.
