SLATINGTON, Pennsylvania (May 10, 2011) - - While continuing to prep for his 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut at Pocono (Pa.) Lucien a classmate of Rabenold’s at Northern Lehigh High School was killed in a car accident and because of his outstanding leadership qualities, his fierce determination and outgoing personality, family and friends created the festival in order to raise scholarship funds in order to help students meet the ever increasing-costs for college.

Rabenold and his Rabenold Racing team will have their Chevrolet Impala SS on display at the benefit with the Slatington, Pennsylvania native also signing autographs from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“It means a lot to be asked to attend the Duane J. Lucien Benefit Festival,” said Rabenold, who will return to ARCA Racing Series competition this year after a brief hiatus. “Duane was such a great and inspirational person. While he is missed by many, his legacy and goals still live on. I’m thankful to be able to help.”

During the appearance, Rabenold is also looking forward to boasting about the ARCA Racing Series to the attendees. “I’m going to try and rally some new support,” he said. “The ARCA Racing Series is such a great place to race. We don’t get to do it very often right now but were moving forward to hopefully change that. I’m excited about going to Pocono and hopefully we’ll have some new fans in the stands because of this blessed opportunity.”

The Duane J. Lucien Benefit Festival will take place at the covered bridge along the Slate Heritage Trail just off seventh street. The event is set to launch at 12:00 p.m. and last until 8:00 p.m.
