RANDLEMAN, North Carolina (April 19, 2012) - - After recording his first win of the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) season at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway two weeks ago, Ryan Wilson and his Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) team are eager to deliver another triumph when action resumes this weekend at the historic North Carolina short track.

Description: WilsonWilson’s victory has undoubtedly boosted the team’s morale and sparked interest in other avenues thus giving the family-owned operation the encouragement that they can make it two-in-a-row in the No. 12 Southern Pharmacy Services / Randolph Bank Toyota Camry.

“The team is still thriving on the win, but we’re anxious to do it again,” explained Wilson, the 2010 fall winner of Richard Petty Driver Search II. “We’ve had more than our share of bad luck over the last year or so. We were so close, so many times (to victory lane) and we would be denied for whatever reason. Then, two weeks ago, our No. 12 Southern Pharmacy Services / Randolph Bank Toyota Camry was so strong and the luck finally panned out and we whisked away into victory circle.”

With his RWM team faced with a 100-lap feature contest on Saturday, April 21, it’s fair to assume that much of the same scenarios will need to play into the team’s hands in order to soar to victory number two of the year.

“There isn’t a doubt in our mind that we can’t get our No. 12 Southern Pharmacy Services / Randolph Bank Toyota Camry back in victory lane on Saturday,” Wilson explained. “It’s a 100-lap feature, so the circumstances are a little different but the game plan still remains the same. We’re bringing a good car, some good horsepower from DP Performance and of course the leadership of Kirk (Bryant, crew chief) and the help of my guys. Not to mention the support from our family, friends and sponsors – we again just have all the key ingredients.”

Thus far in 2012, the Late Model season has been particularly kind to the rising phenom. In six races between Southern National Motorsports Park (SNMP) and Caraway, the team has been able to deliver three top-three qualifying runs (in three time trials offered), one pole, one win, four top-fives and six top-10s.

“The year’s gone pretty good,” admitted Wilson. “Unfortunately, we had some finishes that we weren’t exactly thrilled with but we made the best of the situation, giving the circumstances and digesting that it’s just part of racing. We’re the most recent winner at Caraway and that’s a fact that we want to continuously play moving forward.”

While victory is so sweet in the eyes of many, the 20-year old isn’t shy to convey that his team still has sponsorship opportunities available for Saturday’s anticipated thriller and for the remainder of the team’s aggressive 2012 Late Model schedule.

“As always, we’re thrilled and appreciative to have the support of Southern Pharmacy Services and Randolph Bank on our Toyota Camry – but we still have some room on the car if someone wants to jump aboard,” Wilson sounded. “This is a team with a lot of passionate and drive, and anyone who joins our team will be greatly appreciated.”
