MILLER ELECTRIC RETURNS TO MID-AMERICAN

Matt Panure
Mid American Stock Car Series
February 13, 2011

FORT ATKINSON, Wis (February 13, 2011) – Miller Electric Manufacturing Company will return to the Mid-American Stock Car Series as a contingency sponsor in the 2011 season. Forming a relationship two seasons ago, Miller and Mid-American gave away two welders at the 2009 awards banquet.

In 2011 Miller will again provide the series with two welders to be given away. This season, however, will provide a twist. Miller will provide a 211Mig welder (valued over $1,200) to the series which will be available for use by any MASCS competitor if the need should arise at a 2011 event.

That welder will be given away to an eligible driver (must be an MASCS member and run 75 percent of the 2011 events) in a random draw. Another will be provided to the 2011 Mid-American Stock Car Series champion.

“Andy Weyenberg at Miller has been incredible to work with,” said MASCS co-owner Doug Strasburg. “Having a former driver stay in contact with the series and provide such a generous offer speaks to the caliber of people who have come and gone through Mid-American.”

Miller Electric Manufacturing Company is based in Appleton, Wis., and manufactures arc welding and cutting equipment designed for manufacturing, fabrication, construction, aviation, motorsports, education, agriculture and marine applications. For more information visit www.millerwelds.com.

Mid-American begins its 19th season on Saturday, April 17 as part of the 34th Annual Spring Classic at Rockford Speedway in Loves Park, Ill.

Rockford Speedway is located at 9572 Forest Hills Road seven miles north of downtown Rockford, just two miles west of Interstate 90 at the intersection of Forest Hills Road and Highway 173 in Loves Park, Ill. For more information visit www.rockfordspeedway.com
