GSA Automotive - Rules of the Road - Proposed Grouping Changes

General Services Administration
February 27, 2015

First Round at Newport Speedway

In order to better categorize our vehicles in AutoChoice, we will be changing the following Vehicle Type groupings:

-The New Technology (electric vehicles) category will be removed completely.

The electric vehicles currently under this category will be moved to their appropriate category (for example, electric sedans will be moved to sedans).

-Cab and Chassis will be removed from the Light Vehicles category and moved to their own two new groups:

Light Trucks Cab and Chassis (Incomplete Vehicles) 4x2 Light Trucks Cab and Chassis (Incomplete Vehicles) 4x4

-Under the Light Trucks w/Vocational Bodies category, stake and dump trucks will be separated into their own groupings.

-A new grouping called "Cargo Vans" will be created under the Light Trucks w/Vocational Bodies (4x2) category. All 90-series cut-aways, 130-series multi-stops and 160-series maintenance vans will be moved from Light Trucks (4x2) into the new grouping under Light Trucks with Vocational Bodies (4x2).
