TALLADEGA, Alabama (October 1, 2007) - - Fresh off a successful ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) test at Talladega Superspeedway last Monday and Tuesday, John Graham is heading back to the track with confidence and energy ready to capture his first career top-10 finish in Friday’s ARCA RE/MAX 250.

After spending some time competing in the NASCAR Busch Series, Graham will return to the development series for NASCAR with one of the most respected teams on the circuit, Andy Belmont Racing.

During the two-day test, Graham familiarized himself with the 2.666-mile speed plant allowing him to learn the track with hopes of putting his No. 62 Kick Butt Amped Energy Ballz Ford Fusion in contention in the final speedway race of the season.

Graham knows that as he prepares to make his fifth career ARCA RE/MAX Series start, this attempt is his biggest yet.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in the saddle and focusing on Talladega this week,” said Graham. “We utilized the test to help me better prepare myself for this race and I honestly think we did a great job.”

Graham’s fastest recorded lap of the test was clocked at 52.080 seconds or 183.871 MPH putting him a solid seventh overall on the speed charts leaving the NASCAR Busch Series driver with confidence heading into the 22nd event of the season.

“What we learned from the test, we can definitely apply to our car for the race,” continued Graham. “All of the Andy Belmont Racing cars really tested strong at Talladega last week and that says a lot for Andy’s operation. I know the team has been working hard on my car for the race and we should come out of the box competitive.”

Knowing that Talladega is nothing like he’s ever competed on during his stockcar career, Graham isn’t fazed but eager to gain the experience and take the advice of his car owner.

“Andy really knows how to master these restrictor plate races,” sounded Graham. “He taught me a lot last week and I know I’ll continue to learn more this week. Andy will have two cars in this race so I know he wants to see both cars up front and in contention. If we can play our cards right we should be right in the mix.”

With a stout entry list set for the final speedway race of the season, Graham may be carrying the most unique sponsor in the ARCA RE/MAX 250. His sponsor, Kick Butt Amped Energy Ballz is enjoying their first taste of Motorsports marketing and Graham would like to continue his sponsor’s awareness this week.

“I have a great sponsor,” Graham stated. “Kick Butt Amped Energy is a new and exciting product available in Canada and they are working hard to bring it to the United States . It’s different way to bring energy to its consumers and I think it has gained a lot of attention. We hope to continue that attention span this week in Talladega .”

Veteran car owner Andy Belmont and Graham’s mentor offered, “John really impressed me during the test. He wasn’t afraid to get after it. He is really focused on the job at hand and we accomplished everything we wanted to in the test. I’m proud of his efforts and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do this week in the No. 62 Kick Butt Amped Energy Ballz Ford Fusion.”

The ARCA RE/MAX 250 (94 laps/250 miles) is the 22nd of 23 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The 45th ARCA race held at Talladega Superspeedway is a two-day show. Practice begins Thursday, October 4 with a two and a half hour practice session planned from 9:00-11:30am. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is set for later in the day at 3:30pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag on October 5 shortly after 4:00pm Local Time. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com. All times are local.
