WEST ALLIS, Wisconsin (August 25, 2007) - - It’s one of the biggest birthday surprises you can ever receive. And for 72 year-old James Hylton, he’ll celebrate yet another birthday weekend by attempting to qualify for Sunday’s Governor’s Cup 200 in a car fielded by Carter-2-Motorsports at the famed Milwaukee Mile.

Hylton, a former two-time winner in the now NASCAR Nextel Cup Series will turn 73 on Sunday.

Hylton, an icon in the Motorsports community serves as owner of Carter-2-Motorsports primary entry with Dustin Delaney in the No. 48 FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger, but Hylton will let the owners reins go for this weekend and focus on driving the No. 67 FreeFeds.org/Happy Birthday James Hylton Dodge Charger.

“I thought it would be a great surprise for James,” said Carter-2-Motorsports car owner Roger Carter II. “James does a lot for this sport and this series. He also does a lot for my team. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to personally thank him, while also letting him do what he loves best, race.”

For the speechless Hylton, he’s excited about the opportunity.

“I’m supposed to be retried from ARCA, but I won’t turn down the opportunity to drive,” said Hylton, who holds over 40 starts in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Roger and his talented crop of drivers. He’ll have two cars to root for on Sunday and I just want to go out there, enjoy my birthday and bring home a good finish.”

Hylton is scheduled to make his second ARS start of the season Sunday afternoon. Earlier this month, the Inman, South Carolina native participated in the Pennsylvania 200 at Pocono Raceway finishing 22nd after qualifying 30th.

The Governor’s Cup 200 (200 laps/200 miles) is the 17th of 23 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The 10th ARCA race held at The Milwaukee Mile is a two day show. Practice begins Saturday August 25 with an hour and 15 minute session planned from 1:00pm-2:15pm. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is set for later in the day at 5:15pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag Sunday August 26 shortly after 12:00pm Local Time. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com.
