For the third consecutive race, Alex Tagliani earned a top-ten finish, this time with a season-best seventh place finish at the Milwaukee IndyFest.

After a nearly two-hour rain delay before the race began, Tagliani and his Team Barracuda – BHA crew started the race in P13. The Canadian driver quickly moved up through the field, gaining positions with a strong race car.

Tagliani ran as high as third place in the 225-lap competition and finished as the highest-placing Honda. Overall, he was pleased with his car, his team and the performance.

“Team Barracuda – BHA seems to never give up,” said Tagliani. “We had very little time on the track here in Milwaukee and we made some changes today. Thanks to Todd [Malloy], who gave me a car to compete. It was nice to drive and a huge improvement from yesterday.

“There were some times when we were more competitive a couple times when back-markers tripped us up. That’s Milwaukee style racing, although it’s frustrating because I know we have even more potential. Makes me even more excited to get back in the Barracuda Networks car next weekend in Iowa.

“Overall, the guys did a fantastic job in the pits. I think we just keep doing what we’re doing and we’ll get there. It’s all coming along since we got with Honda and I’m very pleased with the way the car was today, so hats off to the boys.”

Next weekend, the IZOD IndyCar Series heads to Iowa Speedway for the ninth stop on the schedule: the Iowa Corn Indy 250. The race will take place under the lights of the Speedway on Saturday, June 23 at 9 p.m. CST. The race will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.
