Alex Tagliani will start in P13 for Sunday’s IZOD IndyCar Series race at the historic Milwaukee Mile.

The world’s longest continually-operating speedway will host the Milwaukee IndyFest weekend, featuring lots of family activities, a zipline, concerts, midway rides and a packed schedule of track activity for fans to enjoy.

The schedule offered two, one-hour practices on Friday before the Team Barracuda – BHA crew went out to qualify. Tagliani finished the first session in P4 but found some understeer issues during the second outing, which carried over into qualifying.

“Overall we’ve had a pretty good day of practice,” said team owner Bryan Herta. “Certainly qualifying wasn’t exactly what we expected, but we’ve got a good platform for the race and we have the chance to make a couple more changes overnight to find that last little bit of speed we’ll need to put the Team Barracuda – BHA car up front tomorrow.”

The Milwaukee IndyFest IndyCar Series race will take place on Saturday, June 16. Pre-race activities are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. CST with an estimated green flag drop at 12:30 p.m. Fans who aren’t able to attend the 225-lap race can watch it live on ABC or listen to the radio broadcast on IMS Radio Network and Sirius (XM 94 and Sirius 212).
