TALLADEGA, Alabama (October 16, 2014) - - T3R2 with driver Bryan Silas heads to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway this weekend looking for their third top-10 finish of the season, with new partner HUK Performance Fishing in Saturday afternoon’s fred’s 250 powered by Coca-Cola.

Anglers are united by a single piece of equipment: the HUK (pronounced hook). From freshwater to salt, offshore to inshore, bait to artificial, spinning to casting, to fly, their passion is all the same. HUK performance apparel unites all anglers regardless of their pursuit.

To welcome HUK Performance Fishing’s apparel line, soon to hit the online market, as well as store shelves, the company will utilize the 18th race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season to reel in potential customers. Silas’s No. 99 Chevrolet Silverado will feature a colorful underwater paint-scheme to attribute to their marketing partners’ platform designed by renowned artist K.C. Scott.

Scott, a former professional golfer’s passion for art and the underwater world, fueled the design concept for Silas’s truck, which will also carry pink truck numbers this weekend at Talladega, in support of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“I’m looking forward to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend, especially with our new partner HUK Performance Fishing,” said driver Bryan Silas. “Restrictor plate racing is always mentally challenging, but Talladega has been one of my better restrictor plate tracks. We plan to “HUK” onto the draft and stay near the front and (hopefully) contend for the win.”

Silas, a native of Stuart, Florida will make his fifth start at the 2.66 mile superspeedway this weekend.

Overall, the Mooresville, North Carolina-based T3R2 team led by veteran crew chief Cal Boprey has steadily been earning a reason to be in the spotlight with several solid performances, including a respectable 12th place finish in the Rhino Linings 350 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, the most recent race.

“I can’t say enough how impressed I am with our team,” offered Silas. “We’ve come a long way this season. We’ve made improvements with our truck, I’ve become a better driver and it’s showing with our on-track results. We still have a lot of work to do, but we’re heading in the right direction and that’s the type of momentum that could lead us to another strong finish at Talladega.

“Talladega is a place where you have to be at the right place at the right time, plus have some drafting help too. The last time Cal and I were at Talladega together we finished 12th. This weekend, we’ll be disappointed with that. If we can play the drafting game right, I’m hoping we’ll be in a position to get our No. 99 HUK Performance Fishing Chevrolet Silverado another top-10, if not better, when the checkered flag waives.”

The freds’ 250 powered by Coca-Cola is the 18th of 22 races on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. The event will be televised live on FOX, MRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90 on Saturday afternoon, October 18 beginning at 12:30 p.m. The green flag is scheduled to drop at approximately 1:22 p.m. All times Eastern.
