An attractive vaudeville programme has been arranged for the regular meeting of the Automobile Club of America at the clubhouse, Fifty-fourth Street, west of Broadway, Tuesday.  The smoker promises to be one of the most successful ever held by the club, judged from the application of guest cards.

Barney Oldfield in Severe Test.

Barney Oldfield after breaking the world's record telegraphed to the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company that he considered the event the greatest tire test of his career.  The tires were used in four previous meets, and the heavy car which he drove is very severe on tires.

Jinricksha Wheels Coming.

"Jinricksha wheels, the happy appellation applied to the big '42' Oldsmobile wheels," said Gen. John T. Cutting of the Oldsmobile Company, "are suggestive of oriental comfort and ease; so typical are they of the Japanese man wagon, that they will be a surprising feature of the coming automobile shows to those who have not already seen the Oldsmobile cars with their big wheels."

Oldfield Will Not Race Sunday.

EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 11.—Barney Oldfield arrived yesterday and flatly refused to fill a racing date at the Fair Grounds on Sunday.  He will race Kerscher, the German winner of the Vanderbilt race, on Monday, but the two days' meeting had to be cut because of his refusal to race Sunday.
