“ North Carolina Native Returns After Taking Week Off To Prepare For NBS Event”

BROOKLYN, Michigan (June 13, 2007) - - ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Dan Brode returns to competition following a one-week breather in time to tame Michigan International Speedway for Friday’s ARCA 200.

Brode, driving the No. 48 FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger for Carter-2-Motorsports enters MIS on the heels of a successful 21st place finish two weeks ago at Iowa Speedway. After qualifying mid-pack, the youngster achieved his goals by bringing home a clean-race car and a solid finish.

Now, Brode prepares for his next challenge, taming Michigan International Speedway. Never having the opportunity to meet the two-mile oval face-to-face, Brode enters the 11th race of the season with the same approach as Iowa . Tackle, defend and defeat.

“I’m looking forward to making my Michigan debut on Friday,” said Brode, a native of Mocksville , North Carolina . “I’ve heard a lot about Michigan and have past races on television. To have the opportunity to race there is exciting for anyone.”

He continued, “ Iowa was a success. For my first race, I was very happy with the way things went. Of course, I wished we could have placed ourselves in the top-15, but we completed the goals we had set. Now we turn our same focus over to Michigan this week.”

“Practice and qualifying will be crucial,” Brode stated. “I need as much time as I can on the track, since we didn’t have an opportunity to test. I have faith in my Carter-2-Motorsports team. We’ve been working hard on our speedway car to prepare for Friday’s race. I think we are going to be strong.”

“It’s another weekend for me to learn and then try to add,” Brode added. “It’s all about gaining experience before tackling our next goal which is top-10s. There’s a strong field of cars for the race this week. That’s a good thing. I am a competitive person and this is a competitive team. We just need everything to go right, much like Iowa to make my Michigan debut a success.”

The Free Feds Foundation (FreeFeds.org) will sponsor Brode’s second ARCA run.

FreeFeds.org’s sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform. The organization, however, is mainly interested in working toward adding a system of parole for non-violent offenders as part of that overall reform.

In addition to FreeFeds.org, Explore America, The Idaho Observer, RVrentToGo.com, 100fold.net, and Accelerating Developments International (ADI) will join the team’s effort at MIS.

“I’ve spent some time with the sponsors recently and they are getting excited and geared up for the rest of the season. The recent strides we’ve taken at Carter-2-Motorsports will benefit everyone in the long run. I am looking forward to bettering out run from Iowa and reward them with a strong top-15 effort on Friday night.”

Carter-2-Motorsports (www.carter2motorsports.com) whose ARCA RE/MAX Series operation is based in Statesville , North Carolina will run Dodge Chargers in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (NNC) in 2007. The team will run the No. 48 handed over from the legendary James Hylton who retired from ARCA competition following the 2006 season finale at the new Iowa Speedway. The organization will also run a second ARCA team part time this season utilizing the No. 67. The organization also plans to run the No. 54 in the premier series of NASCAR, the NNC series later this year.

The ARCA 200 (100 laps/200 miles) is the 11th of 23 events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Practice begins Thursday, June 14th with a two hour practice (10:00am-12:00pm) session planned. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is set for later in the day at 3:00pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag on Friday at 5:00pm Local Time.
