MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (February 14, 2014) - - Veteran racer Matt Carter will make his long awaited return to the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) next weekend at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway driving for the newly formed JGL Racing.

Carter, a native of Denver, North Carolina will pilot the No. 93 Lone Survivor Foundation (LSF) / Guardian Digital Forensics Dodge in hopes of making his second career NNS start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In 2009, the former ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards rookie of the year drafted to a lead lap 15th place finish.

With strong support from the LSF and Guardian Digital Forensics, the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series crew chief and car owner Travis Carter is optimistic about making his first NASCAR national series start since Kentucky Speedway in 2012.

“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity with JGL Racing and my supporters Lone Survivor Foundation and Guardian Digital Forensics,” said Carter. “I was satisfied with our results in the open test at Daytona last month and hope the changes we made since then will benefit us next week.”

The Lone Survivor Foundation provides support for our wounded service members, their spouses, children, and caregiver(s) by empowering them with helpful techniques and tools addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), sexual trauma and pain management. The Lone Survivor Foundation restores, empowers, and renews hope for our wounded service members and their families.

Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Guardian Digital Forensics specializes in computer forensics, cell phone forensics and cell tower date forensics through certified and qualified experts.

Earlier this month, Carter also announced a partnership with TextHub, a mobile marketing company through sms text messaging. TextHub’s Mass Text Messaging solution allows you to send unlimited personalized text messages directly to your customers, fans or colleagues via our easy to use online interface.

Through their agreement with TextHub, Carter has a created an online fan club by texting “Go Matt” to 20300. Fans who sign-up for Carter’s mobile fan club will earn opportunities to win prizes, including pit passes throughout the year. Standard text messaging rates apply.

“I’ve been associated with the Lone Survivor Foundation for a couple years now,” Carter offered. “Their work is incredible and I’m honored to be representing them at Daytona. Our partnership with TextHub is unique and new to the racing industry. It’s our hope and intent that we can generate new marketing partners through the benefits of the TextHub program. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to text “Go Matt” to 20300 and see what it’s all about!”

The DRIVE4COPD 300 is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2014. The race will air live on ESPN, MRN (Radio) and SiriusXM Satellite Radio (channel 90) shortly after 1:00 p.m. All times are eastern.
