SvG TO START FROM SECOND ROW FOR RACE ONE

Stone Brothers Racing (SBR) has secured some respectable starting positions for this afternoon's 120km race at Symmons Plains in Tasmania.

Shane van Gisbergen in the #9 SP Tools racing Falcon posted the fourth fastest time in today’s qualifying session, which will see him line up on the second row of the grid next to fellow Ford racer Paul Dumbrell.

Alex Davison in the #4 IRWIN Racing Falcon also cracked a top ten starting position for today’s race, qualifying eighth fastest, while Tim Slade in the #47 Lucky 7 Racing Falcon will line up in 16th place.

As usual – due to the short nature of the Symmons Plains circuit – just .7secs split the entire field, to illustrate this anomaly further; Tim’s 16th place on the grid is only three tenths of a second shy of Jamie Whincup’s pole lap.

Race one at Symmons Plains starts this afternoon at 4.05pm.
