Lucky 7 announces V8 Sponsorship with Stone Brothers Racing

Stone Brothers Racing
January 28, 2010

Lucky 7 has officially announced it’s entry into V8 Supercars with a two year sponsorship deal in association with Stone Brothers Racing (SBR). Stone Brothers Racing is one of the premier teams in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series and has built an enviable record since its inception in 1998. SBR has won three championships for Ford; in 2003 and 2004 with Marcos Ambrose and in 2005 with Russell Ingall.

In 2010 SBR will be running a three car team with drivers Alex Davison (#4), Shane van Gisbergen (#9) and Tim Slade (#47).

Peter Dubbelman - CEO for Campbells Wholesale
“As a national Convenience store banner we look forward to offering our Lucky 7 members in every state the opportunity to further expose their brand to the consumer market through the strong medium of V8 supercar motor racing. We have no doubt that our members will benefit from this exciting marketing initiative.

Ross Stone - SBR Team Principal
“It’s always great having a new sponsor come on board for both Stone Brothers Racing and the Series. The business of V8 Supercars is extremely strong and provides an excellent platform for both brand awareness and loyalty. I believe this to be the start of a long mutually beneficial relationship and we are really looking forward to working with Lucky 7 and making them feel part of the team as we fight for the 2010 V8 Supercars Championship.”

Craig Matthews – National Marketing Manager Lucky 7
“The launch of Lucky 7 into V8 Supercars is an obvious step for the brand, as our independent convenience store offer shares the same consumer profile as SBR. Importantly for us, we wanted to raise the profile of our 300+ Lucky 7 locations nationally and our association with SBR will support this direction. This is a further example of our commitment to continually develop the Lucky 7 brand for our members and supply partners alike”.
