ISCARS Public Relations
March 24, 2008

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - It has been a long off season and anticipation of getting back to the track is building.

ISCARS has announced today that the events scheduled for Tri-County are on hold due to sound restrictions put in place by the facility.

The restrictions call for under 100 decibels at the control tower. "That is not possible for our V6 cars," says Randy Claypoole ISCARS President. "We don't want to put our teams through expense of modifying their exhaust systems and then find out we are still over the limit, which I am 100 percent sure we would be."

"I certainly understand the position the track is in with its neighbors. Until they are able to establish a comfortable track record that might lend itself to special event exemptions, we do not want to cause any tension," says Claypoole.

"We are talking to a couple of other tracks and remain confident we can fill in the gaps."

Meanwhile, ISCARS is working hard behind the scenes in finalizing some additional engine options and newer body styles to lower the cost for the teams.

More information is expected to follow later this week.
