Summer Sizzler

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The International Sport Compact Auto Racing Series (ISCARS) DASH Touring races Saturday, July 14th at the New Senoia Raceway in Senoia (GA). The Summer Sizzler “150” will highlight many of the same drivers who have been with the series for many years.

ISCARS DASH Touring last visited the region in 2003 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway when the series was owned and operated by NASCAR and then known as the Goody’s DASH Series.

The series also has run several times at Lanier Raceway in Braselton (GA). Current ISCARS DASH Touring driver Danny Bagwell won there in 1995.

This will be the first ever visit for the series to the New Senoia Raceway, a 3/8 mile high-bank asphalt oval. Randy Humphrey is the only driver known to have raced there, and that was when he was competing in the Legends Series.

Also on the schedule are several of the tracks local divisions including the Iceman, Sportsman; Street and Modified Mini Stocks, along with a 50 lap feature for the Pro Challenge Racing Series.

Pit Gates Open at 2pm; Hot Laps at 4pm; Grandstands Open at 5pm. Racing begins at 7pm

ISCARS was formed in 2005 and launched a weekly television show about the series in 2006. ISCARS WIDE OPEN airs throughout the country on nine cable networks, reaching 51 million households. The show is hosted by MRN’s Joe Moore.
