ARCA RE/MAX Series Race No. 15, TOYOTA ARCA 150
Nashville Superspeedway, Nashville , Tennessee

Race Information: Event: TOYOTA ARCA 150, Saturday, August 11 at 2:30 p.m. Local Time Track: Nashville Superspeedway Qualifying: Friday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. Local Time Track Length: 1.333-mile concrete oval.

Pocono Raceway Recap: Last Saturday’s Pennsylvania 200 will be a race that ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Dominick Casola won’t forget. After turning respectable times in practice and qualifying, the talented driver stormed to the front and hovered in the top-10 for much of the event capturing a career best eighth place finish while also leading three of the 80 circuits.

Previous Nashville Start: Casola made his “ Music City ” debut at Nashville Superspeedway this past April. After qualifying a solid 20th, the rookie was swept into an incident not of his own making. The Andy Belmont Racing team quickly made repairs putting Casola back into the event, finishing 34th.

It Has Its Advantages: Dominick Casola boasts that his success in the ARCA RE/MAX Series can be attributed to the new ARCA SIM Factory video game that is expected to be release September 1st. Casola, is one of several drivers who plays the personal computer (PC) game to further familiarize himself with the diverse number of tracks the series competes on.

Confidence Is Everything: Dominick Casola has had several strong runs this season spoiled by bad racing luck. Solid runs at Berlin Raceway, Michigan International Speedway and Kentucky Speedway all offered a chance for Casola to finish in the top-10. Finally, Casola paid his dues and accelerated into the spotlight last weekend at Pocono giving Casola the confidence he needs for the rest of the season.

Watcha Haulin?: Car owner Andy Belmont has elected to bring Casola “Nina”, the same Ford Fusion, his development driver piloted last weekend at Pocono Raceway. The team has changed engines and put their Nashville setup underneath the former Roush-Fenway Racing automobile looking for their second straight top-10 run. The team’s backup machine is nicknamed Nemesis.

Point Standings: Competing in 13 of the 14 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Casola sits 17th in the championship standings advancing one position from last weekend thanks to his first career top-10 ARCA finish. 80 points separate Casola from overtaking the 16th position from longtime competitor Darrell Basham. Only 150 points separate Casola from entering the top-15 in the championship standings. A gain of 70 markers from one week ago.

Andy Belmont Racing, Nashville Superspeedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Dominick Casola, driver of the No. 1 A. Casola Farms Ford:

On Pocono Raceway: “I cannot tell you how exciting last weekend was for me. We had a great day and I want to thank everyone who made it possible. One of our goals is now complete, now we can move towards completing our next goal, a top-five finish.”

On Nashville Superspeedway: “We didn’t have the run we were looking for in April. We had a good car, just ran into some bad luck. I like Nashville Superspeedway; it’s a fun place to race. It’s a tight racetrack, but there is plenty of room to race. I have a good feeling that I’ll like Nashville even more after Saturday’s race.”

On The Confidence: “I am telling you, getting our first top-10 finish is a huge relief for the entire team. We know that we have the equipment to run competitively in the top-10 each and every week, we proved that if everything goes the way it’s suppose to, we can have a good finish. We’re heading to Nashville this weekend with the same mentality; we’ll prove that last week’s run was no fluke.”

On The Points Race: “We made a lot of ground last weekend. We picked up one spot and inched closer to getting into the top-15. I don’t know if we can get to the top-10 by seasons end, but we’re going to give it our best. I would be disappointed if we don’t soar into the top-15, but we just need to keep giving everything we have and the points should fall into place.”
