“We are thrilled with that lap. We set the car up for race day, but the car took to the track considerably well in qualifying. Country Joe Racing has given me a great car. I’m looking forward to my speedway ARCA debut tomorrow. I want to thank everyone at Country Joe and my sponsor TMC Transportation for making this possible.”

DEXTER BEAN, NO. 6 FIVE STAR TELECOM CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO :

“The car was better in qualifying than it was in practice. The guys made some adjustments and it worked. They tell me the car is going to be fast during the race tomorrow, I hope they are right. Michael (McDowell) and Frank (Kimmel) are starting ahead of us, so we need to stay clean and have a good showing.”

DAN BRODE, NO. 62 A. CASOLA FARMS-ANDY BELMONT RACING FORD FUSION

Practice Time: 35th (32.255 seconds, 148.777 MPH)

Qualifying Draw: 29/44

Qualifying Time: 31.997 seconds, 149.977 MPH

“We picked up from practice and that’s important. The car is pretty solid. We just need to use some patience and finish the race tomorrow. I want to thank Andy Belmont and the Andy Belmont Racing team plus A. Casola Farms for making this race possible. I’m excited to be making my speedway debut and hope we can move forward successfully tomorrow.”

“I’ll take that. We have a good racecar for the race. We slowed down a little from practice, but we picked up in the running order, so I guess that’s a good thing. I have a feeling we’re going to have a good race. We have some momentum on our side with our top-10 performance from last week at Pocono Raceway, so I hope we’re able to continue that tomorrow.”

BLAKE FEESE, NO. 95 SCOTTISH RITE-FPC DODGE CHARGER

Practice Time: 17th (31.194 seconds, 158.837 MPH)

“We turned a pretty good lap. We picked up six tenths of a second from practice, so that’s good news for our race team. I would like to win tomorrow and we’re going to do everything we can to try and make that happen. Thanks to everyone on the Sadler Racing team and Scottish Rite-FPC for all their hard work and support this weekend.”

MIKE HARMON, NO. 38 RICHARDSON-NETZLOFF-HARMON RACING—RADISSON OF OPRYLAND CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO SS

Starting Position: 34

NOTE: Veteran ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Mike Harmon and his Richardson-Netzloff-Harmon Racing team experience an oil leak during practice today. The corrected the problem shortly before ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying.

“I cannot complain, all things considered. We have our fair share of problems in practice the last two weeks, but I would rather get all of our problems out of the way in practice rather than the race. The guys worked hard to fix the car and we’ve done that. We’re tight, but we’ll make some adjustments to loosen it up for race conditions. We’re going to just fine tomorrow.”

“We picked up some from practice. The car is in good shape. I’m really happy with our performance thus far this weekend. Tomorrow’s race is going to be held in very hot conditions, so I’m going to get well rested and stay hydrated tomorrow. We should have a good day. A top-10 is not out of the question one bit.”

“Our car is going to be good during the race tomorrow. We were set up for race conditions and race runs all day long. I’m not worried one bit. The car is strong and the Fast Track Racing team has done an outstanding job this weekend. We’re looking for some redemption during the race tomorrow and I think we’ll find it.”

Starting Position: 26

“I wasn’t feeling well right before qualifying. I gave it everything I had. The car is good, we just need to use some strategy during the race tomorrow and we can conquer our career best (14) finish from last weekend. The Stott Classic Team never gave up today even with the very warm temperatures and I’m proud of them!”

“We picked up from practice and the car is handling very well. I owe it all to my guys at Spraker Racing Enterprises. We tested very well and we were able to come here and back it up. Jeff Spraker, I can’t say enough about him. He has done a flawless job with the team this weekend and I am very excited about the race. We will have a shot at our first top-10 finish tomorrow.”

WAYMAN WITTMAN, NO. 80 STAN HOVER MOTORSPORTS FORD FUSION

Practice Time: 29 (32.045 seconds, 149.752 MPH)

Qualifying Draw: 13/44

Qualifying Time: 31.781 seconds, 150.996 MPH

Qualifying Position: 30

Starting Position: 30

“We made the race and that was our primary goal. We picked up some from our practice runs and that’s important, but I think the race will come down to surivial and strategy on Saturday. I want to thank Stan and his group for battling the heat and giving 150 percent. It will be a while before we compete again if we don’t pick up any sponsorship, so I would like to have a good run to hold us off until Talladega .”
