Fort Worth, TX (June 11, 2007) - Bill Lester made his best start in the 2007 season in the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series Friday night at the Texas Motor Speedway for the running of the Sam’s Town 400. Posting a lap of time of 29.960 seconds at a speed of 180.240 mph, Lester placed the No. 15 *Christian Debt Consolidation Chevy Silverado in the eighth place position on the starting grid with solid ambitions to have their first top-10 finish of the season.

A dialed in race truck is what the team thought they had for the race after outstanding practice sessions and qualifying on Thursday afternoon. But the track didn’t cool off and tighten up like the Billy Ballew Motorsports team thought it would do, so Lester drove a loose Silverado throughout the race, sending him home from the Lone Star state in the 18th place position.

“We had an awesome truck in qualifying and it was dialed to be a little loose for the race,” Lester said. “We figured the heat would dissipate during the evening race tightening the track up. Unfortunately, with our luck, no such thing occurred. We lost a lot of track position on an early pit stop going from fifth to 23rd which put us in traffic and we weren’t able to gain those spots back. We had a good day in the sense we didn’t damage the truck at all and since we are using it in Michigan next week, I’m glad we didn’t. I just hope to get this season rolling here soon so that I can show how good this Billy Ballew Motorsports team is.”

Although Lester wasn’t able to gain the positions back on the track he ran continuously as fast as and faster then the leader but time had run out to gain the laps he had lost and so Lester settled in for the top-20 finish in the No. 15 Christian Debt Consolidation Chevrolet Silverado. A green/white/checkered finish extended the race length to 169 laps instead of the scheduled 167.

Lester heads to one of his most memorable tracks when going to the Michigan International Speedway. Lester made his second start in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series there in 2006. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series takes to the track for the Michigan 200 Saturday, June 16 beginning at 3:00pm ET.
