“Short Track Hot Shoe Looks To Bounce Back On Friday Night”

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (June 6, 2007) - - It’s a Friday night fight and Michelle Theriault will be a part of the action. The next round of competition sends the NASCAR Busch East Series (NBES) competitors to Stafford Motor Speedway (SMS) for the running of the TSI Harley Davidson 150.

Theriault and her Team GLOCK, Inc. operation look to bounce back from a mechanical hiccup at South Boston Speedway last week which dashed away Theriault’s chances at her third top-10 finish in four starts.

The only full-time female competitor running in NASCAR is no stranger to adversity and with her prior short track experience in the United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooter’s Pro Cup Series; Friday night’s event should be an easy task.

“I’m looking forward to Stafford ,” said Theriault, the driver of the No. 37 GLOCK, Inc. Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. “It’s a very smooth racetrack and has provided some great racing for the NASCAR Busch East Series. Right now we have to gain some ground on the losses we suffered from South Boston . Jeff Spraker and the Team GLOCK, Inc. have prepared great racecars all season long. We just need a little luck this weekend to put this team back into top-10 formation.”

Heading into the fifth NBES event of the season, Theriault sits 14th in the championship point’s just 31 markers behind 10th place competitor Jesus Hernandez. 77 points keep the developmental driver from tacking the top-five.

She locks fifth in the NBES Rookie-of-the-Year standings just 15 credits from leader Joey Lagano. Even though that margin is slim, the former United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) veteran knows that both championships will likely come down to the wire.

“There is no doubt that the unsatisfying finish at SoBo really hurt us in the point standings,” she offered. “The good thing is that it is still early in the season and we have a long way to go. We’re allowed one bad race in a season; I’ll take South Boston as that race. You cannot fault anyone for our finish last weekend. It’s racing, it’s going to happen, and we just need to bounce back. Knowing the team I’m surrounded by, I know that won’t be a problem.”

GLOCK, Inc. is enjoying their first full season of sponsorship in the NASCAR Busch East Series. The pistol manufacturer has been pleased with the performance of Spraker Racing Enterprises and their young driver Theriault.

“We could not be happier with the progress the team is making and the effort that Michelle is giving behind the wheel,” said GLOCK, Inc. Vice President Gary Fletcher. “The team is unloading strong each and every race. They are giving 100 percent all weekend long and thriving on giving us the best exposure possible. As a sponsor, we couldn’t ask for much more. We wish them all the best at Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday night.”

Theriault concluded, “We’re capable of winning the race this weekend. Jeff Spraker, GLOCK, Inc. and Wegner Automotive have all given me the winning tools to get the job done. This is the closest hometown race for me, so there’s an extra incentive for me to do well. Don’t be surprised if we make some additional history on Friday night.”
