Iowa Speedway, Newton , Iowa

Race Information: Event: Prairie Meadows 250, Saturday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. Local Time live on SPEED Track: Iowa Speedway Qualifying: Saturday, June 2 at 4:00 p.m. Local Time Track Length: .875-mile paved oval.

Toledo Recap: Silas made his second career start at Toledo Speedway on May 20 with a solid 15th place finish. After wrecking in practice, Silas rebounded to qualify 30th. During the 200-lap event, the rookie showed extreme patience and overcame a two-lap mishap on pit road to notch his best finish since Salem Speedway in April.

Iowa Rewind: Silas was one of 41 competitors to take the green flag in the inaugural ARS event at Iowa Speedway in 2006. After qualifying his No. 11 Fast Track High Performance Driving School Chevrolet 16th, Silas appeared to be headed towards a top-10 finish before a late race incident spoiled his run resulting in a 26th place.

Before Heading To The Race: Fast Track Racing and rookie Bryan Silas participated in the open test at Michigan International Speedway on Tuesday testing a Ford Fusion and a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Reviewing their times at the test will set the platform for which manufacturer the FTR team will unload at Michigan International Speedway in two weeks.

Looking Sharp: Nortrax, Shell Rotella-T, Holland Pump and Palm Beach Grading (PBG) will sponsor Silas’s No. 11 Chevrolet Monte Carlo this Saturday. The duo group of sponsors continues their foray into the ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) and will hold sponsorship of the Fast Track Racing entry.

Points Chase: After their satisfying finish at Toledo , Silas remains 10th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings trailing fellow Floridian Patrick Sheltra by 65 points. Silas is only 245 points from locking himself solidly into the top-five in the championship chase.

Come Meet Bryan : Bryan Silas and several of his colleagues will sign autographs with the ARCA RE/MAX Series fans this Friday, June 1 at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Double Duty Returns Soon: Silas, a native of Stuart , Florida will attempt to make his third NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in a two weeks at Michigan International Speedway. Silas will run his ARS car on Friday followed by the NCTS event on Saturday.

Fast Track Racing, Iowa Speedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Bryan Silas, driver of the No. 11 Nortrax-Shell Rotella T-Chevrolet Monte Carlo :

On Toledo : “I’m feeling a lot better about that place compared to what I was feeling earlier in the weekend. We had a great car, but we had some problems on pit road that prevented us from scoring a top-10 finish. We’re a rookie team, it’s going to happen. We’ll just pick up and move.”

On Iowa Speedway : “We were running solidly last year and got caught up in a late race accident. Our program is improving at Fast Track Racing and I’m looking forward to bettering our Toledo finish on Saturday night.”

On His Double Duty Efforts Recently: “Running in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has helped me tremendously in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. It’s given me some extra momentum and seat time behind the wheel of a racecar which is what our NCTS program is all about, seat time. I’m looking forward to continuing our season in the ARCA series, but welcome the opportunity the NCTS presents.”

On Gaining Points At Toledo : “We were able to cut about half the points we lost to Patrick (Sheltra) at Toledo , which is a good thing. Slowly but surely, we’re closing in on half-way in the season and that’s where we really have to get focused. I don’t think a win is out of the picture for our team this season, we just need a little luck to be on our side to make it a reality.”
