Dr. Priyaranjan Prasad

The first ever recipient of the National Award for the Advancement of Motor Vehicle Research and Development.  Working for Ford Motor Company at the time, he was awarded for his work in applied crash simulation and biomechanical research, including the effects of crashes on the human spine.
