MG was formerly a brand of British cars (from Oxford), originating in 1924, until 2005 when parent company MG Rover Group, Ltd., was purchased by the Nanjing Automobile Corporation.

Vehicle names used by MG currently and throughout history include:  1100, 18/80, 1300, Maestro, Metro, MG3, MG6, MGA, MGB, MGC, Midget, and TD.
