Messerschmitt
Vehicle Marque

A former German manufacturer of cars from 1953-1964.  Before and during World War II, Messerschmitt was an aircraft manufacturer. The company is most famous for its Bf 109/Me 109 fighter plane that fought in World War II and for its Me 262, the world's first operational jet fighter.  After World War II, Messerschmitt was not allowed to build aircraft, so it turned to the manufacture of cars.  Based in Regensburg, Germany.

Vehicle names used by Messerschmitt throughout history are:  KR175, KR200 and KR201.  The cars were also known as the Kabinenroller.
