Zündapp Janus

A minicar produced by Zündapp.  6,902 were produced, and they were sold in the 1957 and 1958 model years.

Designed by Dornier and produced by Zündapp, a motorcycle manufacturer.  Sales were slow, and Zündapp abandoned its effort at making cars.

Rear seat passengers face rearward.  The car's seats fold down to make a double bed.

In 2011 a Janus by the name of "Professor Zündapp" was a character in the movie Cars 2.
