Benjamin Freakley, U.S. Army Racing Team owner Don Schumacher, National Hot Rod Association President Bob Compton and seven-time world champion Tony“The Sarge” Schumacher stand with the new U.S. Army Dragster at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis Sept. 3. The vehicle was unveiled and presented to a welcoming crowd from the pit of the O’Reilly Raceway track that evening.

Fort Knox's Drill Sergeant of the Year Staff Sgt. Benjamin Brady, a native of Covington, Ky., and runner up Staff Sgt. Duarte Fernandes, a Merced, Calif., native, stand next to "The Sarge" after the unveiling ceremony of the Army's newest 'Hot Rod" and currently competing in the NHRA. Brady and Fernandes were recognized during“The Sarge” unveiling ceremony for their achievements as drill sergeants, which includes turning everyday people into an Army Warrior in only nine weeks.

U.S. Army top officials, Soldiers and instructors-of-the-year stand with National Hot Rod Association drivers and officials during the unveiling of the new U.S. Army Dragster at the O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Sept. 3. The new car marks ten years in an ongoing partnership between the U.S. Army, the National Hot Rod Association and Don Schumacher Racing.
