C5 refers to the fifth generation of Chevrolet Corvette, produced in model years 1997-2004.

The C5 made three appearances (the Corvette's fourth, fifth and sixth overall) as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, in 1998 driven by Parnelli Jones, in 2002 with Jim Caviezel and in 2004 with Morgan Freeman.
