C4 refers to the fourth generation of Chevrolet Corvette, produced in model years 1984-1996.
The C4 made two appearances (the Corvette's second and third overall) as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, in 1986 with Chuck Yeager at the wheel and in 1995 with Jim Perkins driving.
