Our February Viewing Party on February 25th brought us two new Friends of Chicagoland Fans4Racing! Emilio Holmes and Nathan Fitzpatrick! It was great getting to know them and watching a great race together! Emilio also brought his laptop, so we had two Trackpass RACEVIEW computers running during the race! What a great addition to our race viewing experience!

Please feel free to let everyone know that the www.directtrackpass.com is a personal website that I created to help me track many different useful items. I started it as I am always surfing on the internet for a wide array of information from home projects, to music, to applications, NASCAR stuff, horse stuff for my wife, etc. The problem is that all this stuff is located in many different areas and I can never remember where I went to get all the stuff. So one day I decided that I would create my own website and then start putting this information out
on this website so if I ever had to do the project again I could readily find the information.
The cool thing that I like is that from time to time I have family members contact me and want me to load up music to the site that they can download. So I get the songs they want from my library and then FTP them to the site and send them an email that the song is on the site and then they can load it to their PC.
I haven’t had much time in the last few weeks to finish the site as I have been tied up doing other things but I will be working on it during the next few months. One new enhancement that I have come up with is that I have learned how to take a TIVO file off of my TIVO unit and put it to my laptop. I then convert the TIVO file to a .mpeg file that can be loaded to my website for anyone to download to their PC. Then if the person pulling the file down saves the file on their PC to their TIVO Desktop folder they will be able to transfer the file from their PC to TIVO recordings folder they will then be able to transfer the file from their PC to their TIVO and get this … be able to record it! I am going to create a lot of screen shots on how to do this and it is going to be a big project but it is one that I think people who are into technology will want.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp!
Our Chapter has designated our fund-raising support to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in 2007! At each Viewing Party, donated raffle prizes will be available to our attendees and guests! Raffle tickets will sell, as one for a $1 or six for $5. WE NEED DONATIONS in order to conduct the raffles! Our first milestone to reach our goal is $500! Of course, if we can raise more money we will continue our efforts!
Together we can accomplish much more!
Your help in getting donations is necessary for this very worthy fund-raiser to be a success! Any individual, business or organization donating prizes will receive recognition at our Viewing Parties and events throughout the year. IN ADDITION, we will publish their name, and/or business or organization in our monthly Chicagoland Fans4Racing Newsletter and Website as 2007 Fund-Raising Sponsors to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
ASKING is the most important step you can take to receive donations for our cause. Please consider asking family, friends, business associates, organizations….anyone and everyone!
- Start by talking about Chicagoland Fans4Racing.
- Let them know about our Fund-Raising goal to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
- Also, let them know we are looking for donations to raise funds.
- Then ASK…if they can donate prizes!
Additional points you can mention.
- Prizes do not necessarily have to be race related.
- Donation prizes could be….gift cards/certificates, CD’s, DVD’s, books, pins/pens, posters, art, TV’s, cars, free beers, anything small, anything big…you get the idea! We will accept any donations.
- We will gladly accept monetary contributions.
- 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
